Duncan Webster is a financial services industry veteran, known for his expertise in investment strategy and advice. His experience spans a wide array of client mandates and objectives, serving private clients, endowments, pension plans, liability-driven insurance investors, and corporate treasuries. Duncan has honed his skills at both major global firms and smaller enterprises across multiple countries, taking on roles as employee, external advisor, start-up founder, owner, and board member of regulated entities.

Duncan enjoys collaborating with senior managers, collecting and sharing observations on governance, best practices, organizational change, and team building. With his personable approach and hands-on cross-functional experience, Duncan can quickly and credibly engage with staff, resulting in reliable insights, suitable recommendations, and tailored implementations.

Value-adding areas of interest include building high-performing teams, blueprinting opportunities in asset allocation and portfolio management, turning compliance and process complexity into operational excellence, and developing products that enhance client relationships.

Duncan provides consulting and money management services through Authentic Asset Management Inc. Prior to founding Authentic in 2014, Duncan was the Chief Investment Officer & Head, and a Board Member of CIBC Global Asset Management & CIBC Private Investment Counsel. Previously, he was the Co-Head of PIMCO Canada, and Team Head of Portfolio Strategy & Capital Markets at Allianz Investment Management.

Earlier in his career, Duncan was the Global Strategist for Equity Proprietary and Alternative Investments, and Head of Global Markets Research of currencies and rates at HypoVereinsbank (Unicredit) in Munich, and Product Manager at Thomson Financial and a trader in London.

Duncan served on the Board of the University of Victoria Endowment Foundation for 9 years.

Duncan is a CFA Charterholder and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. He holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a BComm with great distinction from McGill University.

Outside of work, Duncan can be found trying to play tennis on various court surfaces, and occasionally performing stand-up comedy at local clubs. 

Vaibhav Kumar Khurana, CFA

Business Analyst

Vaibhav Kumar Khurana is Business & Compliance Analyst at Authentic Asset Management Inc. He reviews, develops, and implements business systems and processes in line with industry best practices and applicable regulatory frameworks.

Mr. Khurana is a CFA Charterholder and has over 10 years of experience in the financial industry.

Prior to joining AUTHENTIC in 2023, Mr. Khurana worked as a Consultant at PKC Advisory, a management consulting firm where he primarily worked in projects related to strategy development, ESG framework development & implementation, due diligence, and business process optimization.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Khurana worked with Moody’s Analytics as an Investment Banking Analyst.

Mr. Khurana holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Financial Markets) with Rank 1 from AJNIFM, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and a BComm from the University of Delhi.
